27 Jun 2019 Pulper-direct drive (FlexoDirect® powerPULP)

At this year’s Zellechming Expo the company AS Drives & Services GmbH presented itself as a drive specialist as well as a maintenance company for industrial gears of all manufacturers.

The new direct motor FlexoDirect® powerPULP attracted a lot of attention. This direct motor is to be used as direct drive for pulpers. The FlexoDirect® powerPULP is mounted directly below the pulper on the drive shaft of the pulper rotor and thus replaces the classic gear-asynchronous motor combinations or drive via belt.

The advantage of this new motor is the enormously high efficiency of 97% and the associated lower energy consumption. Likewise, this gearless drive has very few mechanical components and is almost insusceptible to shocks caused, for example, by dropped paper bales.

The performance of the FlexoDirect® powerPULP ranges up to 50,000 Nm and can be adapted to the respective requirements. (e.g. 50 sqm pulper, 165 rpm; => 35,000 Nm, 600 kW)

The FlexoDirect® powerPULP is mounted using robust stainless steel stands and disc spring assemblies that absorb and cushion vibrations.
